David Knights Cowling One of the most beautiful and inspiring tracks I've ever heard. It is a soundscape, a song, and a dream. Favorite track: Theory of Machines.

aworldofsound Paced like a great work of literature with unrivaled moments of intensity delivered via layers upon layers of both visceral and fragile sounds. This album is flawless. Favorite track: Theory of Machines.

davedave I seen Ben Frost live in Glasgow a few years ago and was embarrassed by the very low turn out to the gig (about ten people in a hall that could have held 300). He still played a blistering yet tender and utterly beautiful set, the likes of which I’ve rarely seen. At the end he came to the front of the stage and thanked us few for coming. An amazing musician. Buy his records, go see him live. One of a kind in many ways.

Ben Frost

The music of Ben Frost is about contrast; influenced as much by Classical Minimalism as by Punk Rock and Metal, Frost's throbbing guitar-based textures emerge from nothing and slowly coalesce into huge, forbidding forms that often eschew conventional structures in favor of the inevitable unfoldings of vast mechanical systems. ... more
